"Look!" I'm Telling you, it's Magnificent Cattle Country
George's' is situated almost equal distance from the major towns of Innisfail and Atherton 60km and 55km retrospectively. The Palmerston Highway dissects the two portions only 5km east of Millaa Millaa.
George's is made up of Two (2) parcels which are as follows:
Lot 285 58.679* hectares Beatrice River Portion
Lot 245 60.824* hectares Luck Creek Portion
Palmerston bitumen highway frontage, accessing all major tableland towns, livestock selling centres and schools, rural power, telephone and internet services.
Originally the country was timbered with vine scrub and rainforest which now is almost fully cleared with the exception of creeks and some waterways. The country is gently to moderately sloping. Good quality red volcanic soils with some darker soils along the creek flats.
Pastures consist of well-established Kazungula grass with some Legumes. The paddocks are used in rotation to maximise pasture health and production.
Water is supplied by natural spring feed creeks. Some paddocks have the support of spring feed water being pumped to tanks and gravity feed troughs. A 180ml irrigation licence is in place to supply approximately 16 hectares of solid set irrigation to pasture.
Comfortable timber three (3) bedroom Queenslander style home with office with a separate self-contained flat. A number of open and fully closed sheds for machinery and storage. A large set of steel cattle yards with covered work area, cattle crush and calf cradle.
George's' is subdivided into 10 paddocks with mainly timber posts and 4 barb wire. Laneway system from most paddocks to the cattle yards. There is an underpass that gives unhindered access to both portions under the Palmerston Highway.
George's' was originally one of Millaa Millaa's most productive dairy farms and is now run as a beef operation producing weaners in excess of 300kg.
