An organically certified landholding located in close proximity to Bowen and within a highly regarded mango growing region of Australia, Beaumont Plantation comprises a total land area of approximately 149.5* hectares, of which 49* hectares has been developed to mango trees.

Historically, Beaumont Plantation has supplied both fresh and processed mango products to the domestic market. Benefitted by well-renowned and highly regarded varieties, Beaumont Plantation has historically produced 32,000* trays of mangoes annually. Furthermore, through utilisation of the large scale processing facility, Beaumont Plantation also produces approximately 80* tonnes of mango puree and 90* tonnes of frozen mango cheeks. Whilst currently not operational, the aforementioned processing facility provides significant scope for further expansion of the operation.

The subject property is situated 32km* west of Bowen and 42km* east of Collinsville.

Local Economy
The town enjoys a diversified economy based on agriculture, fishing, tourism, and mining. Its
unusually dry climate for a tropical location, plus its fertile alluvial soil, makes it the ideal
place to grow a wide variety of small crops, including tomatoes, rockmelons, mangoes
and capsicums. Outside the alluvial plain, much of the Bowen Shire is used for beef cattle.
Just north of Bowen is the Abbot Point coal loading port. Coal mined inland of Bowen in
Collinsville and other towns in the Bowen Basin is brought by rail to a deepwater pier to be
loaded on bulk carriers. Coal is exported mainly to China and India.

Land Use
Scardale a 96* ha (237* ac) farm, was recently operated as an organic certified mango farm with 2,900* mature and 1,875* young Kensington Pride (KP) trees. In addition to the orchard there is also 32ha* of cultivated land which could be suitable for most types of horticulture including small crops, fruit and vegetables, pasture for grazing or stock feed.

Administration Building - The property has a 140sq.m* administration building including an area that has been used as a laboratory in the past, a 468sq.m* workshop and storeroom, plus a 60sq.m* skillion area.

Cold Storage Facility - The cold store facility consist of 3 freeze room of 144sq.m* and 3 coldrooms totalling 250sq.m*.

Factory Area - The factory area was previously used to make mango puree, dried mango and frozen cheeks. The total factory area is 406.25sq.m* including locker room, change room, filling room, packing area, wet area and factory and what was the drying area.

Accommodation - There are 2 accommodation building located within close proximity to the factory facility which could be used for staff /pickers accommodation during the harvest season. In addition to the accommodation there are a number of caravan sites (which were powered) and an ablution block which could also be used for picker accommodation. The property has 3 phase power, 3 phone lines and a satellite internet installation.

There are 4 dams on the property and 8 bores that have been registered with the Department of Natural Resources and Mines.
